So, you want to try Archery?

Well you have come to the right place!

Andover Archers offer Beginners Courses throughout the year consisting of 6 two hour sessions over a six week period normally on a Thursday evening between 7pm and 9pm and held in our indoor facilities. However, during the summer months these sessions may be held outside on our shooting field.

Subject to demand, availability of the coaching staff and the facilities, we may be able to offer courses on a Saturday morning from 10 am to 12 noon.
The courses are led by our own Archery GB qualified Coaches and experienced archers at a ratio that is in accordance with national guidelines. The Club supplies all the archery equipment you require for the duration of the course.

Due to the popularity of Archery lately, we at Andover Archers can provide a 'Have-A-Go' session, prior to anyone wanting to book onto a beginners course. The session last for about half an hour to an hour, and cost £5.00 per person, regardless of age. Sessions are normally held on a Saturday afternoon, (by prior arrangement, and agreed by the Committee) around 3:00pm. Sessions can be provided of an evening if coaching staff are available, and subject to prior committee approval.

On successful completion of the beginner’s course, you may apply to join the Club, who provide you with ongoing liability insurance for Archery. Beginners are only insured to shoot during their lessons and while supervised.

The minimum age for beginners is subject to the coaches discretion; however there is no upper age limit! The current cost of six  2 hour session is £50.00
