| WINTER LEAGUES November to March inclusive Frostbite 3 Dozen arrows at 30 metres shot outdoors on a 80cm face, scoring 10,9,8 etc. Only tens score as golds, and 6 Sighters are allowed. At Andover we shoot the Frostbite on a Sunday morning (normally the first Sunday of the month). Watch the events calendar for actual dates. This year we have entered two teams (Recurve only) of 5 archers, the best 5 scores as entered as Team A, with the next best 5 scores being entered as Team B. There are 30 divisions in the league this year, our Team A is place in division 4, and Team B in division 20. Sighters are at 11:00am, with shooting starting at 11:10am. Shooting is normally finished by about 1:00 to 1:30pm. The Tournament Organiser sometimes is able to arrange lunch at a nearby pub, for those who are interested. Cost of lunch is about £7 or £8 pounds. Watch the club notice board for further details. There is no dress code for this event. Warm dry clothing is normally a good idea! We have shoot in rain, hail, and snow before now! Portsmouth 5 Dozen arrows at 20 yards on 60cm face scoring 10,9,8 etc. Only tens score as golds, and 6 sighters are allowed. At Andover we shoot the Portsmouth on a Wednesday evening (normally the first Wednesday of the month) in our indoor range. Sighters are at 7:00pm, with shooting commencing at 7:15 sharp. Watch the events calendar for actual dates. This year we have entered three teams (Recurve only) of 5 archers, the best 5 scores as entered as Team A, with the next best 5 scores being entered as Team B, and the next best 5 scores as Team C. There are 43 divisions in the league this year, our Team A is place in division 4, Team B in division 26, and Team C in division 31. Any club member can take part in the shoot, and anyone that wishes to do so are very welcome. Please make your self know the one of the committee members. Watch the notice board for further information. After the shoot has been complete, the archers with the top five scores will form the A team, those with the next five highest scores form the B team, and those with the next five highest scores form the C team. (This means that the A. B. C. etc. teams can vary from month to month.) All shoot as Archers i.e. no allowance for ladies or juniors.
