Junior Shoots 2007 |

We at Andover Archers have a vibrant and enthusiastic junior membership, currently the club has some 24 junior members that regularly attend the club. We encourage them to shoot together not only within their own age groups, but also together with their peers, and the adult membership. To encourage them further we intend to introduce formal outside shoots during the summer months of 2007. The aim of these shoots will be to provide a more formal shooting experience, giving them a solid foundation in archery before moving onto shoots outside our club environment. There will be a series of 7 shoots, held during the months of April, May, June, July, August, September and October. The shoots will take place on the 1st Sunday of the month. Watch the events calendar for any changes. The shoots will only be open to those under 18 on the 31st October 2007 ( being the last shoot). The rounds will be confirmed prior to the shoot taking place, but will be set depending on the archers current ability and age. The shoots will take place at our outside range, assembly will normally be 11:00 with sighters at 11:15am, but, watch your e-mails from the Secretary for final information. There will be Certificate of Achievement for age classification and gender. In addition to this, each archers scores will be collated and totalled across all six shoots. The best three scores from each archers will go forward towards the overall trophy awards. These trophies will be awarded at the end of years presentation award evening. If successful, these shoots may become open shoots for junior archers from other clubs in the area.
