So what is S.C.A.S. The S.C.A.S. shoot is a four day event, normally held around the middle of May each year. See the Event Calendar for exact dates. It is held at the grounds of the Greenjackets Cricket Ground, St Cross, Winchester, Hants. The shoot starts on a Wednesday (being a day for Longbows only) with a round of a Double National - 2 ways. Yes, you shoot in one direction, collect your arrows, and then shoot back again. Thursday and Friday are aside for a championship meeting, being Record Status - Rose Award. For the Gents a Double York (one Thursday and one Friday) and for the Ladies a Double Hereford (one Thursday and one Friday). Saturday morning consist of a Handicap round, of a Long National, archers handicap being calculated on the scores obtained during the previous two days.
